Adey Steel Group Secures Multi-Million Pound Contract at Teesside
Adey Steel Group has secured a multi-million-pound contract to deliver structural steelwork for the landmark Northern Endurance Partnership and Net Zero Teesside development, one of the UK’s most significant new energy infrastructure projects.
The works include the delivery of multiple steel pipe bridges spanning internal roads and service corridors, allowing essential utilities and process systems to move safely and efficiently across the development. Alongside the pipe bridges, Adey Steel will also manufacture and install bespoke steel frameworks and support structures designed to accommodate process equipment and associated infrastructure.
All steelwork will be delivered through Adey Steel’s in-house fabrication facilities and specialist site installation teams, ensuring quality control and efficient project delivery on a complex and large-scale energy scheme.
Net Zero Teesside Power is set to become one of the world’s first commercial-scale gas-fired power stations equipped with carbon capture technology, generating flexible low-carbon electricity while capturing the majority of its carbon emissions. As part of the wider East Coast Cluster initiative, the Northern Endurance Partnership development will help establish Teesside as a major hub for carbon capture and low-carbon industry in the UK.
Jim Hatherley, Pre-Construction Lead at Adey Steel Group, said: “This is an excellent win for Adey and further strengthens our position within the energy infrastructure sector. We’re proud to be supporting a nationally significant project that will play an important role in the development of the UK’s future energy technologies.”
The contract further demonstrates Adey Steel Group’s capability to deliver complex structural steel solutions for major infrastructure and industrial projects, supporting the continued growth of the UK’s energy sector.
