Adey Steel MD Recognised As Top County Executive
After celebrating its 90th anniversary in 2015, Adey Steel goes from strength to strength. The company’s performance was recognised on November 2nd at the prestigious Leicester Mercury Business Executive Awards, where Managing Director Andrew Adey was singled out as a top executive of a medium sized business.
The glittering event, held at the King Power Stadium in Leicester, attracted a wide range of high profile sponsors and served to highlight innovation and enterprise in the county.
A spokesman for Torr Waterfield, who supported the Medium Business category, said of Andrew’s achievement, “We are delighted to sponsor this award and it is fantastic to see a person of Andrew’s calibre develop such a solid business. Leicestershire needs entrepreneurs of his quality and invention."
Andrew faced stiff competition for the prize, going up against finalists Mark Johnson of Sigma Components and Simon Cohen of Leicester Tigers, but edged the award on account of, among other projects, ADEY Steel’s work on new flats next to Battersea Power Station, Facebook's London headquarters and the architectural steelwork at the new Birstall Fire Station.
As ever, ADEY Steel hopes to build on its success to date and evolve as it continues to diversify into new specialisms.
