Adey Steel Win a Contract with James Fisher Nuclear Ltd
Adey Steel have been awarded a 3 Year Framework Contract to supply plant items into a facility that will decommission the site and package the reactor core of the redundant Steam Generating Heavy Water Reactor (SGHWR) in Winfrith, Dorset.
This will be one of the largest value turnkey decommissioning projects to have been awarded in the UK in recent years, and will firmly establish James Fisher Nuclear Ltd (JFN) as the leading reactor decommissioning implementation contractor in the UK. To be assisting JFN in this is a big achievement says a lot about Adey Steel and how far the business has come over the years. Adey Steel scored extremely well in the pre-qualification stages, incorporating Health and Safety and Operations through the business, so well done to each and every employee on this.
