Core Value Award winners announced by Adey Steel Group
The Adey Steel Group has revealed its Core Value Awards winners for the first half of 2024.
The award-winning steel fabrication infrastructure specialist invites colleagues twice a year to recognise those peers they believe have gone above and beyond in upholding the company’s long-standing core values – Safety, Teamwork, Success, Quality and Service.
And the 150-strong workforce at the family-owned-and-managed business in Loughborough didn’t disappoint, nominating their colleagues in their droves with some great feedback from colleagues across all areas of the business for the work they have done over the last few months.
The Core Value Award winners were announced at a special event in April. Each winner received a framed certificate together with £100 worth of Love2Shop vouchers.
Matt Hobday – Teamwork
Assistant Quantity Surveyor Matt Hobday was singled out by multiple colleagues for “always being focused and for always being willing to help to ensure the projects run as smoothly as possible even when he's hard pressed for time.”
Julie Gibbons – Success
Senior Project Manager Julie Gibbons scooped her award for her ability to “always be focused on what she's doing,” explained one person while another praised her for her ability to build “strong, long-lasting relationships with clients.”
Dave Dix – Quality
Popular Fabricator / Welder Dave Dix was described by his colleagues on the shopfloor as “an asset to the business” and someone who always “makes sure the jobs are done to the best of his ability.”
Wayne Cook – Service
And last but by no means least, Material Handler Wayne Cook, whose colleagues felt he “deserves recognition for being a person that always tries his best” and “always goes the extra mile to help out and never seems to stop.”
