Great progress for the South Wales Metro
New electric tram-trains are now being tested by Transport for Wales on the newly electrified Valleys lines – a major step forward in transforming transport across the region.
Part of a wider investment in new trains and infrastructure upgrades, these Stadler Class 398 tram-trains will run on both tram and rail lines using overhead electric and battery power – boosting capacity and sustainability.
