Herne Bay Station Completed
The accessibility upgrade at Herne Bay station is now complete — and we’re proud to have been part of the team delivering it.
The project includes a brand new footbridge and two 16-person lifts, giving passengers step-free access between platforms for the first time. The existing subway remains open, ensuring multiple access options.
Adey Steel Group played a key role in this transformation, supplying the structural steelwork for the new bridge — a crucial part of making the station safer, more accessible, and future-ready.
Great to see more stations becoming inclusive for everyone — from wheelchair users to those with pushchairs, bikes, or heavy luggage.
