Opening of Barry Wrides Bridge
Adey Steel Group played a crucial role in the opening of the Barry Wrides Bridge, a new public footbridge near Llandaf railway station.
This bridge, part of the South Wales Metro project, was built following the electrification of the railway lines and the introduction of more frequent services at Llandaf station. The new structure replaces the original level crossing, offering a safe passage for the community by connecting Wingfield Road to Colwinstone Close via an existing footpath through the playing field.
This footbridge will serve as an essential crossing point, ensuring safety for local residents. The bridge also reconnects communities on either side of the railway after two years of separation.
