Adey Steel has built a large structural extension to the Wilkinson Street tram depot in Nottingham as part of a major expansion of the tram network in the city.
The new facility, consisting of 50 tonnes of structural steelwork and secondary steelwork items, houses the Nottingham Express Transit (NET) offices as well as control rooms for the company's 300-strong workforce.
A new Park & Ride facility adjacent to the tram station in Basford will allow rapid transit in and out of the city for drivers, helping to minimise congestion and emissions within Nottingham city centre. Around 20 million people currently use the NET network annually every year across the city.
