Pudding Mill Lane is an integral part of Crossrail, one of the most significant rail infrastructure projects undertaken in recent years.
Adey Steel, one of the UK's largest independent steel fabrication infrastructure specialists, was appointed by the client, Keltbray Aspire Rail, to shorten the existing OLE and retro-fit bespoke OLE structures as part of the Pudding Mill Lane development.
Thanks to the technical detailing of the OLE structures in Tekla 3D modelling software by the design team at Adey Steel at the company's HQ in Loughborough, Keltbray were able to visualise the engineering solutions required and make alterations to suit the demanding and varied site conditions.
All welding by Adey Steel was done to BS EN 9606: Part 1 2013 with steelwork fabricated to CE Marking Execution Class II and galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461:2009.
