Adey Steel has manufactured and supplied over 6,000 tonnes of fabricated steelwork as part of the the Greater West electrification programme.
The biggest single investment in the Greater West line since Isambard Kingdom Brunel built Britain's oldest railway line more than 150 years ago, Adey Steel supplied the client with everything from WPE Anchor Booms, Twin Track Cantilevers through to Telescopic Struts, Q Booms and Foundation Brackets.
All steelwork was fabricated to CE marking Execution Class II and galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461:2009 by the Loughborough-based steel fabrication infrastructure specialist. Detailed inspection and test plans were conducted throughout the programme of works while jigs were produced to ensure consistency throughout as well as speed up production. All component parts from Adey Steel were pre-assembled for ease of transportation and installation onsite.
