Adey Steel were awarded the supply and installation of Theale Station AfA in Reading worth over £2,000,000.00.
Scope
Our scope of works included the supply and installation of 140+ tonnes of painted steelwork, cladding to 3 Nr Lift Shafts, 3 Nr sets of Stairs & 2 Nr Main Span. Side panels were manufactured by Trespa with colour scheme designed to complement the existing, newly renovated Ticket Office. Windows were designed to be openable inwards with removable handles to ensure cleaning of the glazing could be done without the need of possessions.
Working closely with the design team, we developed a unique lifting arrangement which enabled us to fully clad roofs of all structures and most of the lift shaft sides, meaning minimal onsite cladding works were needed, increased safety, and reduced follow-on works.
We were contracted for full plant, including Cranes & RRV MEWPs throughout the project
