Adey Steel fabricated and delivered a 275Kv Gantry for Tilbury Substation.
Working with an existing client of 20 years, we processed, fabricated, galvanised and delivered the gantry on a challenging lead time.
Prior to galvanising, the gantry was trial assembled at the Adey Steel facility to ensure exact fit up. Manufacture was to CE Marking, EXC 2 with Galvanising to BS EN 1481, 85 microns.
Once the structure was galvanised, Adey Steel assembled the leg and portal sections to reduce the amount of site build up required, minimising handling of the structure, which in turn protects the finish, and reduces the onsite safety risks.
