Adey Steel has manufactured Biomass equipment to be used in the extraction of bulk stored woodchip for the Biomass sector.
This latest project required the same advanced technical and engineering abilities demanded of the previous works, with Adey Steel having now firmly established a core specialism in the intricate fabrication of these close tolerance units.
The 11-metre profiled outer tube section is fitted with an inner screw weldment complete with a fully welded, machined drive shaft assembly. Each separate element rotates independently to force and extract woodchip pellets from bulk storage silos. The equipment is finished in a sacrificial primer paint coating to protect the items prior to installation and commissioning.
