Adey Steel adopts Rainbows as charitable partner
Adey Steel has chosen Rainbows as its first-ever charitable partner.
One of the UK’s largest independent specialist steel infrastructure fabricators, Adey Steel has teamed up with the Loughborough-based hospice to help support its fundraising efforts.
Founded in 1994, Rainbows has cared for thousands of children and young people from the East Midlands with life-limiting, life-threatening and terminal conditions – as well as supporting their families through the toughest of times.
The team at Adey Steel have already been busy fundraising for Rainbows with Contract Manager Stuart Gray recently completing the Robin Hood Half Marathon and raising over £400 in the process.
A whole series of other fundraising initiatives are planned by Adey Steel for later this year as the family-owned-and-operated business, who are also based in Loughborough, aims to raise upwards of £10,000 for the charity over the next 12 months. Adey Steel will also be using its website and social media channels to raise awareness of the work done by Rainbows and other hospices across England, Scotland and Wales.
Andrew Adey, Managing Director of Adey Steel, explained: “Rainbows was the obvious choice for Adey Steel as our first-ever charitable partner because like ourselves they have their local community at the heart of everything they do.
“We are really looking forward to working together on a variety of initiatives over the coming weeks and months and through that help support those with life limiting, life threatening and terminal conditions in the East Midlands.”
Kate Golding, Head of Organisational Giving at Rainbows, added: “It’s fantastic news that Adey Steel has selected Rainbows as its first-ever charity partner and we can’t wait to start supporting their fundraising events moving forward.”
Adey Steel has been an active supporter of charitable organisations in recent years with its 150-strong workforce fundraising for LOROS and Leukaemia Care among others.
