Adey Steel welcomes students from Cranfield University
Adey Steel was delighted to welcome students from Cranfield University.
The six students, among them Adey Steel Group Welding Manager Adam Newton, are currently studying for an MSc in Welding Engineering with the world-renowned university.
And, as part of their part-time course, the students have embarked on a Manufacturing and Materials Group Project.
The Project, which is looking at Process Optimisation for Submerged Arc Welding, involved the students coming to the Adey Steel headquarters in Loughborough to use the company’s Submerged Arc Welding equipment to conduct a series of weld tests on a number of test pieces using a proven WPQR.
