The Adey Steel Group has been highly commended at the Leicestershire Innovation Awards.
The Loughborough-based steel fabrication infrastructure specialist was shortlisted for the Innovation in STEM Industries category of the hugely popular regional innovation awards.
Now in its sixth year, the Leicestershire Innovation Awards recognise the brightest, most innovative businesses in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. This year’s awards ceremony took place at the Sport Park Pavilion at Loughborough University.
Among the other organisations that made it through to the finals alongside the Adey Steel Group were market leaders such as Camira Fabrics and Rolls-Royce together with innovative start-ups such as Moti Me, Snowball and The Bug Factory.
Judges had a record number of entries to consider with over 100 nominations received.
Andrew Adey, Managing Director of the Adey Steel Group, said: “It was fantastic to be considered among the best in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland for the work we are doing in STEM within the steel fabrication sector.”
Adey Steel is no stranger to winning awards. It was singled out for an Employer Partnership Award by Leicester College for supporting its apprenticeship programme across the county.
