Adey Steel Group shortlisted for business innovation award
The Adey Steel Group has been nominated for a leading business innovation award.
The family-owned-and-operated steel fabrication specialist has been shortlisted in the Innovation in STEM Industries category at the Leicestershire Innovation Awards.
Now in its sixth year, the Awards recognise the brightest, most innovative businesses in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. This year’s black tie ceremony, which takes place on March 20, will be held at the Sport Park Pavilion at Loughborough University together with a pre-awards celebration event on March 6 that is being hosted for finalists at De Montfort University.
Judges had a record number of entries to consider, with almost 100 nominations being received.
Andrew Adey, Managing Director of the Adey Steel Group, said: “I am so pleased that the hard work by everyone at the Adey Steel Group has been recognised. It’s fantastic to be considered among the best in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland for the work we are doing in STEM.”
Phoebe Dawson, Chief Executive of the Leicester & Leicestershire Economic Partnership (LLEP) added: “The awards are one of the most exciting and dynamic celebrations of local innovators in the Midlands.
“Record nomination numbers demonstrate that the desire continues to grow to celebrate and share ideas that are increasing productivity and growth across our city and county.”
The Adey Steel Group is no stranger to winning awards. The Loughborough-based company was singled out for an Employer Partnership Award by Leicester College late last year for supporting its apprenticeship programme across the county.
