Adey Steel Group Work on Facebook London Offices
Adey Steel has won the contract to design, detail, manufacture and install the structural steelwork package that supports the concrete frames for the new Facebook offices in Central London.
The heavyweight complex structure included two plate girder transfer beams each weighing 22 tonnes and a 20 tonne fabricated ‘C’ column that allows the open ground floor lobby area of the offices to remain uninterrupted.
Andrew Adey, Managing Director of the Adey Steel Group, explained: "The exacting tolerances involved during installation of these heavy primary steel elements made it an extremely challenging project but the site teams experience and innovative approach led to a hugely successful site install."
