Adey Steel puts Safety First
Adey Steel is set to host a month-long series of events in the run up to World Day for Health and Safety at Work.
The Loughborough-based steel fabrication specialist has been championing health and safety at its purpose-built factory on the outskirts of the famous university town for many years.
And to celebrate launching its groundbreaking Safety First initiative a decade ago, the family-owned-and-operated company has planned a whole series of activities throughout April to reinforce the importance of health and safety in the workplace when delivering safety critical infrastructure projects in the energy, rail and road sectors.
“Our Safety First initiative is integral to everything we do at Adey Steel” explained Robert Hall, Operations Director at Adey Steel. “Over the last 10 years it has really helped to bring our health and safety policies and procedures to life.
“We wanted to celebrate this achievement with a month of health and safety related activity in April for our 150-strong workforce as we embark on the next 10 years of continuing to put Safety First at Adey Steel. “
Among the activities planned in April are weekly Toolbox Talks together with Behavioural Safety Workshops in conjunction with Make UK. A company wide Safety Survey will also be launched in early April with the best safety recommendation receiving £100 worth of vouchers.
