Adey Steel has played its part in the upgrade of the Hope Valley Railway between Manchester and Sheffield.
The infrastructure project, which has seen major bottlenecks removed along the historic line running through the Peak District, saw Adey Steel design, manufacture, supply and install a new overbridge at Hathersage West, replacing the current foot crossing to improve safety.
The footbridge, which was transported to site by Geismar Railroad Equipment after being fabricated at Adey Steel's purpose-built factory in Loughborough, featured laser cut lattice panel sections bolted to the outer face of the main span as a nod to the design heritage of the Hope Valley region.
