Holly gets set to tread boards at Little Theatre in Leicester
Holly Matusiewicz is set to tread the boards shortly in a new adaptation of Willy Russell’s acclaimed play ‘Stags & Hens’.
The 36-year-old Executive Assistant at the Adey Steel Group in Loughborough will be playing the main character Linda when the riotous comedy comes to the Little Theatre in Leicester for a short run starting on October 2.
The play by the author of ‘Educating Rita’ is set in the Ladies and Gents toilets of a club in Liverpool where Dave and Linda, unbeknownst to each other, are both having their Stag and Hen nights at the same time.
“I can’t wait for the curtain to finally go up,” explains mother of one Holly (pictured left). “We’ve been rehearsing for months with the director Simon Dickens so it will be great for people to see the results of all our hard work up on stage.”
Holly added: “Anyone who is a fan of a stag or hen night will love ‘Stags & Hens (The Remix)’. It really captures the raucous energy of those nights and really leaves you wondering if they will be ready (or in any fit state) for their big day. A word of warning though. ‘Stags & Hens’ contains strong language and themes of a sexual nature so be prepared!”
Holly, who recently celebrated her first anniversary with the leading steel fabrication specialist, is no stranger to the limelight having also appeared in other productions by the Leicester Drama Society including ‘Absent Friends’ and ‘Barefoot in the Park.’
Andrew Adey, Managing Director of Adey Steel Group, said: “We really hope Holly brings the house down with her performance at the Little Theatre. She’s deserves it given all the hard work she’s put into the production.”
A limited number of tickets are still available for Stags & Hens (The Remix) at the Little Theatre in Leicester between October 2 – 7. Prices are £16.50 (£15 with concessions). Click here for more details.
