New £1M Project for Adey Steel at London’s Whitechapel Crossrail Station
Adey Steel has been awarded the contract to supply riser steelwork packages for the service and ventilation shafts at London’s Whitechapel Crossrail Station.
The project, which is worth over £1m, includes service riser support steelwork, open mesh flooring platforms, stairs and balustrades.
The Whitechapel Elizabeth Line station is acknowledged as one of the most challenging stations on the Crossrail project, with limited working conditions within the shaft chambers and the tight fabrication tolerances interfacing with the existing concrete shaft walls.
Adey Steel has worked on a number of major rail projects across the UK in recent years including the Great Western Electrification programme (GWEp) and the Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU).
