Successful Installation of Gantry Structures to Support National Infrastructure
Adey Steel have provided over £1m of steelwork structures to support the National Grid network across a number of sub-station site across the UK. Providing steelwork for our specialist energy infrastructure client our projects and fabrications teams have produced over 200 tonnes of gantry structures and Smart Valve frames which will go on to form vital components of this critical national infrastructure.
Adeys supported our client at design stage offering multiple value engineering solutions that reduced weight, improved lead times and made site installation easier for the onsite teams.
The refurbishment works on multiple sub-stations is part of the essential national maintenance programme that will ensure the network remains resilient for the coming winter months to provide a reliable supply of energy to homes and businesses for years to come. Work will be completed across a number of phases up to Spring 2021.
