Adey Steel Group shortlisted for family business award
The Adey Steel Group has been nominated for a leading regional business award.
The family-owned-and-managed steel fabrication specialist, which was founded in Loughborough in 1925, has been shortlisted in the Fastest Growing Family Business category of the Midlands Family Business Awards.
Established in 2010, the Midlands Family Business Awards are an independent, not for profit charitable initiative organised by The Wilson Organisation. The Awards were established to create an ethical, friendly and supportive community for family businesses in the Midlands.
A record number of companies entered the awards in 2024. All finalists are also eligible for the ‘People’s Choice’ award, which is determined by a public vote in September. The winners of the Midlands Family Business Awards will be announced in early October at a special event in Leicester.
Andrew Adey, Managing Director of the Adey Steel Group, said: “It’s great to see the hard work of the whole team in Loughborough being recognised by the judges, and as a result, for the Adey Steel Group to be considered one of the best family businesses in the Midlands.”
The news comes only a matter of weeks after the Adey Steel Group was highly commended at the Leicestershire Innovation Awards in the Innovation in STEM Industries category. The Awards recognise the brightest, most innovative businesses in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
